Continuing Education Credits
EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
It’s a two-for-one opportunity. Earn continuing education credits at the same time you obtain a Health Coach Certification. The Dr. Sears Wellness Institute has been approved for continuing education credits for a variety of professions.
Dr. Sears Wellness Institute Health Coach Training & Certification is a highly respected educational course that has been approved by a variety of health and wellness organizations that require their members to obtain a certain number of credits toward Continuing Education. Requirements for Continuing Education vary by organization and from state-to-state.
Nurses, teachers, and fitness professionals are just a few of the professions approved for continuing education credits. We will take care of all of the details, you just enjoy the training!

PROFESSIONAL COACHES
National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC)
Approved for NBHWC continuing education credits.

International Coaching Federation (ICF) Coaches
Approved by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for up to 120 hours of Coach Continuing Education (CCE).
- Core Competencies = 90 Hours (24-week Master Health Coach Training course)
- Resource Development = 30 Hours (6-week Health Coach Training)
The Master Health Coach Certification will allow you to pursue the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. The Master Health Coach Certification course is a Continuing Coach Education (CCE) program that is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). The program structure and curriculum align with the coach-specific training requirements of the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential when applying through the Portfolio path.
REGISTERED NURSES
Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) through University of Massachusetts Global – Provider Number 15531. Course meets the qualifications for 30 contact hours* of continuing education for RNs as required by the California Board of Registered Nursing. CEs must be requested at the time of registration.
*One (1) academic semester unit is equal to fifteen (15) continuing education hours and one (1) academic quarter unit is equal to ten (10) continuing education hours. Description of the course content and/or objectives is available upon request.

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKERS
Approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) through University of Massachusetts Global – Provider Number PCE 1821. Course meets the qualifications for 30 – 60 contact hours* of continuing education for LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
*One (1) academic semester unit is equal to fifteen (15) continuing education hours and one (1) academic quarter unit is equal to ten (10) continuing education hours. Description of the course content and/or objectives is available upon request.
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPISTS
Approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) through University of Massachusetts Global – Provider Number PCE 1821. Course meets the qualifications for 30 – 60 contact hours* of continuing education for MFTs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
Our Life-Stage courses qualify for Category 2 CME. Category 2 credit is any medically-related activity that enhances the role as a PA. You can log it on an hour-per-hour basis of time spent completing the activity. There is no maximum amount of credits that you have to claim, and since Category 2 credits are never audited, you will not need documentation. Most licensed professionals can receive continuing education credits by petitioning their certifying agency.
